Gary Primich
1958 - 2007

On September 23 the Blues world lost one of it's BEST harmonica greats, Gary Primich. He was just 49 years old and will be missed by the Blues world. Our thought are with his family!

If you are not familiar with Gary's work you should be. This man could say a lot musically with just a few notes. It is all about the tone and he HAD IT! Check out his website http://www.garyprimich.com/  and his Bio on All Music Guide HERE for more about Gary.

His most recent work as a guest on the Ruf Records release by Omar Kent Dykes & Jimmie Vaughan - On the Jimmy Reed Highway was one of his last recordings.  (Reviewed by IllinoisBlues.com just 3 weeks ago. )

Below are some video clips to become a bit more familiar with his work.

First a recent interview with David Barrett.  You get to hear his style and technique close up when he plays at the end of the interview.

Second is Gary Primich LIVE with Fabulous Thunderbirds guitarist Nick Curran this March on the street in his hometown of Austin, Texas.
